RELATED: New Gargoyles NECA Toy Reveals Include Demona, Hudson and the Trio Dynamite has not specifically announced whether these entries in Gargoyles canon will be included in their reprint series, but the company has promised more news to come. The SLG series featured Weisman's input and directly continued storylines from the second season of the television show. The series featured the same characters as the cartoon but is considered out of continuity by creator Weisman, who was hired to write for the comic but never had the chance due to its cancellation.Īside from their Marvel run, the Scottish stone behemoths of Gargoyles also appeared in comics published in Disney Adventures magazine in the '90s, as well as a 2006-2008 series produced by SLG Publishing. Featuring early artwork and writing from the likes of comic industry juggernauts like Amanda Conner, Joe Madureira, Jimmy Palmiotti, Martin Pasko, Grant Miehm, and Mort Todd, Marvel's Gargoyles series was meant to cover at least 12 issues, but only 11 were published. In addition to all-new stories, Dynamite will release facsimile reprints and trade paperbacks compiling previous Gargoyles comic series, beginning with the Marvel series that ran from 1994 to 1995.
